Operating From 10 UK Manufacturing Facilities the Staircraft product portfolio includes staircases, door-kits, MDF painted profiles, i-Joists and floor kits for the construction industry.

The Challenge

Staircraft wanted to take visitors on a walking tour of their various production facilities but the high-noise level on the factory floor presented a particular challenge. So, Staircraft rented systems from us initially, to prove the benefits of the visitor tours. They then decided to invest in their own system as the factory tours became a highly successful feature of their sales & marketing programme. Additional systems were purchased to expand the visitor tours across their sites. They continue to rent additional packages for special events like open days.

The Benefits

In order to achieve a high level of engagement on tours, the two-way system was an important part of the specification selected.  

The tour guide’s device can easily be programmed for various group configurations

  • single guide per group
  • multiple guides per group and with a microphone for questions from the visitors
  • VIP tours where all participants have two-way discussion.

The Peltor ear-defender headsets provide the required noise attenuation for the comfort of the tour guests and the noise-cancelling microphones minimise the factory noise to allow clear communication.
